Allan Hawco

Acclaimed Actor, Writer, and Executive Producer, Allan Hawco is one of the country’s most recognizable stars, whose wide range of talents appeal to audiences of all ages. He has the unique ability to connect to the viewer as an actor and from behind the scenes, as a writer and producer. He divides his time between his home in Newfoundland, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles.

Allan is recognized for his role in the hit CBC television drama/comedy Republic of Doyle (2010-2015). Allan played the lead, Jake Doyle, the roguish and irreverent private investigator and served as the show’s head-writer, exec producer and showrunner for the six season run. Republic of Doyle has been sold to markets around the world, including syndication across the U.S. The show is now a leading show on streaming networks such as Amazon Prime, and Netflix Worldwide. Most recently, Allan executive produced all 3 seasons of Canada’s leading comedy show Son of a Critch (CBC/CW/Paramount+), starring Malcolm McDowell, Mark Critch and Benjamin Ainsworth. Son of a Critch has ranked as the most watched original Canadian comedy in Canada. Son of a Critch Season 4 will begin filming again this summer.

Allan’s feature film credits include major roles in Director Bruce McDonald’s award winning film Weirdos, and Director/Actor Paul Gross’ Hyena Road and as the lead in Michael Melski’s, The Child Remains. Prior credits include a starring role in Love & Savagery, and Sir Richard Attenborough’s Closing the Ring with Christopher Plummer and Shirley MacLaine. Allan co-starred with Enchantos’ Carolina Gaitán in the Andrés Beltrán directed Quicksand (Lead), and Midnight at the Paradise (Lead) and the The Breach (Lead) which played on Digital and VOD this past July, 2023.

Allan’s major accolades include awards such as the Gascon Thomas Award from the National Theatre School, an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Canadian Television Hall of Fame, a Gemini nomination for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series (Republic of Doyle), and an ACTRA nomination for Best Male Actor (Love & Savagery).

Beyond film and television, Allan has maintained his roots in theatre as the co-founder of the Toronto based Company Theatre. There, he garnered rave reviews as the star in its inaugural production of Tom Murphy’s Whistle in the Dark, as well as for both his roles in Festen and Belleville. The Company Theatre has gone on to stage numerous productions, such as John, Domesticated, The Seagull, Speaking in Tongues, The Test, Marion Bridge, and the Dora Award winning Through the Leaves. Allan is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada.

Janine Squires

Janine Squires is a producer and production manager in the Canadian television industry.

She is the Supervising Producer for CBC’s hit comedy “Son of a Critch”. She was production manager for City TV’s “Hudson & Rex” across its first four seasons. Her portfolio includes work on Netflix’s “Frontier” and the CBC series “Caught” and “Little Dog”.

Based in Logy Bay, Newfoundland, Janine holds a B.A from Memorial University.

Erin Sullivan

Erin Sullivan, MBA, CPA-CGA has been working in film and television for over 10 years. Erin has been a part of the team that created, Republic of Doyle (Seasons 1-6), Majumder Manor (Seasons 1-2), Every Word Is Absolutely True, Boy On Bridge, Frontier (Season 1-3), Braven, Cast No Shadow, Mutual Friends, Caught, Little Dog (Seasons 1-2), Maroni – Land of Shadows (Season 2), SurrealEstate (Season 1-2), Son of a Critch (Season 1-3), and Astrid & Lilly Save The World.

Perry Chafe

Perry Chafe is a television showrunner, writer, producer and bestselling novelist.

Perry was the co-creator and co-showrunner for the TV series Republic of Doyle, which ran for 6 seasons on the CBC.  He was also an executive producer and writer for the Netflix/Discovery series Frontier starring Jason Momoa.  In addition, Perry was an executive producer and writer for Caught, a CBC limited series based on Lisa Moore’s award-winning novel of the same name.  Perry is currently a writer and producer on the hit CBC series Son of a Critch, based on the best-selling memoir from Mark Critch.

Perry released his debut novel Closer By Sea on May 23^rd, 2023. Published by Simon and Schuster Canada, it became an Instant National Bestseller.

Born in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, Perry holds a B.A from Memorial University.

John Vatcher

John Vatcher’s career has spanned over 30 years as a producer, director and writer. Vatcher was a Producer/Director on the Gemini-nominated series Republic of Doyle for all six seasons of the show. He also produced and directed on the CBC/ITV comedy series Little Dog and that same year, directed the two-part finale of the CBC/eOne Canadian Screen Award nominated Caught. Vatcher was a producer/series director on the Netflix/Discovery series Frontier with Jason Momoa, and was the recipient of a 2018 DGC Award Nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Direction on a Dramatic Series for his work on the episode “The Wolf & The Bear.” Vatcher has directed multiple episodes of Syfy’s supernatural dramedy SurrealEstate and has been a series director since season one of CityTV hit series Hudson & Rex. In addition to directing and producing on the hit CBC original comedy Son of a Critch, Vatcher is also currently working on the new CBC police procedural Saint-Pierre, starring Allan Hawco and Josephine Jobert.
