A New World. Untamed.

Set against the harsh backdrop of 18th-century Canada, Frontier is the intense story of the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade. Told from multiple perspectives, the series centers on Declan Harp (Jason Momoa), a driven and bold half-Irish, half-Cree trapper aiming to break the Hudson’s Bay Company’s hold on the profitable fur trade. His quest leads him into conflict with greedy traders, trappers, and the ruling elite, all vying for control of the fur trade.

“The series, a joint effort by Netflix and Discovery Canada, is refreshingly free of pretension, unlike some in the genre.”

– Neil Genzlinger, The New York Times

Frontier delves deep into the muddy waters of greed, betrayal, and revenge in the beautiful yet unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Harp encounters a complex network of allies and enemies as he seeks vengeance against those who have wronged him. The series features stunning landscapes, brutal confrontations, and a raw depiction of the struggle for power and survival. With Jason Momoa’s powerhouse performance, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Landon Liboiron, Alun Armstrong, and Zoe Boyle, Frontier is a compelling tale of ambition, resilience, and the fight for freedom and prosperity in the New World.
